My 1958 VW is a 1 of 1. Not so much because of how it was built by the VW factory. But because of how it was rebuilt from the ground up as a Baja Bug by me. No other VW Bug has the same roll cage. No other VW Bug has the bodywork trimmed the same as mine. No other VW Bug has the same bumpers as mine. No other VW Bug has the same pale gray paint color as mine. No other VW Bug has the same bright blue paint color on the roll cage and all other tube work as mine. These factors are vastly more meaningful to the 🚗 car's individuality and unique selection of options than the combination of color of external paint and color of interior upholstery chosen from the option sheet by the person ordering it originally. That was JUST picking available colors from a predetermined list at the dealer. The body color was not rare when that Vette was new. I saw a substantial number of them in that color of paint. Apparently nobody else thought that combination of paint and upholstery would look good. Does that justify "rarity"?
